Dear friends, family, valued business partners and dear guests,
With the first flakes gently falling on the mountains and meadows, the Christmas season finds its way into our hearts. This year we would like to give you a little Christmas story that expresses our gratitude and connects the special magic of our new home in Pinzgau in St. Martin near Lofer with our old home on Lake Tegernsee.
A Silent Night in Maria Kirchental
Many years ago, in a small chapel in Oberndorf near Salzburg, the song "Silent Night, Holy Night" was heard for the first time. It was the simple message of peace and hope that touched people's hearts. Today, here in Maria Kirchental, where the sky touches the mountains and silence lies like a protective cloak over the landscape, we feel the magic of this song in a very special way.
On a clear winter night, a pilgrim walked along the snowy path that leads to the Maria Kirchental pilgrimage church. In the distance, the lights of our inn shone like little stars, showing the way. The pilgrim was given a warm welcome - with warm tea, a freshly baked loaf of bread and a story that told of community and gratitude.
Bridging the gap between Bavaria and Pinzgau
Our journey took us from our home on Lake Tegernsee to Maria Kirchental. Both places, as different as they may be, are connected by a bond that inspires us every day: the cordiality of the people and the warmth that only real encounters can give.
We think of the many beautiful moments in Bavaria - walks by the lake, convivial evenings in rustic parlors and the celebrations that strengthened us as a family and community. We also carry the memories of the friendly faces and warm encounters here in Maria Kirchental in our hearts. Our neighbors and fellow residents, who welcomed us with open arms, make this place a home for us.
Thanks and Outlook
This Christmas we would like to take the opportunity to say thank you. Thank you for the loyalty of our guests, the cooperation with our partners, the friendship of our neighbors and the unforgettable moments with our family and friends. All of this has shaped us and enabled us to fill our little paradise here in Maria Kirchental with life.
We are especially grateful that our parents are doing so well again despite their advanced age after health challenges and that they are well cared for. Their perseverance and strength are a great gift for us.
When we sit in front of the decorated tree this evening and sing the song "Silent Night", we think of all the wonderful people who have enriched our lives. We invite you to wander with us in your thoughts through the snowy landscape of Pinzgau and feel the peace and joy of this special time.
Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year
We wish you all a peaceful Christmas and good health, happiness and success for the coming year. May the spirit of Christmas accompany you and fill you with peace and hope.
With warm regards,
Constance and Herbert Russer
